Mindfulness is not just about our minds, but also our bodies. There is increasing evidence that exercise can improve your mood. Whatever your choice of exercise may be, instead of zoning out, bring some mindfulness into it – Be aware of any sounds, smells, tastes – look around you, what can you see? How does your body feel? Notice the changes in your breath, feel your heart rate increase, and take note of any perspiration. Practice being nonjudgmental about what you observe.
